Branching Together was started by two best friends who saw a problem with the mass amounts of trash flooding into the landfills, and wanted to address it. We chose the name Branching Together as it is symbolic of the hope and effort in collectively creating a better world. Now, we are committed to bringing you functional and fun products made of materials that would have otherwise become trash in a landfill in an effort to make the world a better place, one bucket at a time. Peruse our website for more information about us as well as how to do your part.
Meet the Founders
From an early age I have loved to explore the outdoors in my home state of Oregon to gain a deeper understanding of this beautiful world we inhabit. My travels have reinforced my view that we are all connected, and that everyone must live as stewards of the environment to support a flourishing Earth. This realization led me to earn my BA in Environmental Studies and then a MS in Environmental Studies and Sustainability.
We are excited to have created Branching Together as a platform for resources and products while addressing the major crisis that is waste. We hope that Branching Together encourages each person on their journey to becoming better stewards of the environment and of each other.
I grew up going on hikes and cross-country skiing in my hometown of Buffalo, New York. Being in nature gave me a deep appreciation for and connection with the world around and the people in it as I recognized each person's collaborative role within the environment. I then went on to earn a BS in Business and later a Sustainable MBA.
Branching Together is our expression of a passion to protect the environment while living consciously and compassionately. Caring for the earth and for others is a duty and a privilege of all world citizens, and it is our goal to walk alongside individuals on their sustainability journeys.
Our story began with a cross-country environmental justice road trip in 2018, which you can read about by clicking on the "More About the Journey" and "More About the Project" below, that led us to recognize that waste is a huge problem that we can begin solving right now by preventing usable materials from becoming trash in a landfill. Many people we spoke to across the U.S. on our environmental justice journey echoed a desire to change habits in their lives to support the environment. After hearing everyone’s concerns and the diverse vows people made throughout the journey, we decided that we wanted to create a business that not only helped people to be more sustainable, but also supported a larger cause. We are excited to continue developing Branching Together and to help people on their journeys to becoming stewards of the earth!
