After we returned from our cross-country environmental justice road trip, we knew we had to continue taking action to help others live as stewards of the earth. We decided to use knowledge we gathered on the trip to make a product that is made sustainably and provides people with easy tools to take strides toward living an environmentally conscious life.
Each Earthy Jarre is meant to help the owner live more sustainably. Jarre is spelled as such ('jar' with an extra 're' at the end) because of what the 're' represents: re-duce, re-use, re-cycle, re-connect. The prefix 're,' meaning 'again,' implies that your Earthy Jarre is both a symbol and a means of reconnecting to the environment around us by being stewards of the earth. The majority of materials in an Earthy Jarre are repurposed, and all contents are sustainably produced.

Mason Jar: 1 quart (32 oz.) glass jar.
Jar cover: A protective cover made of hemp string.
Cloth Reusable Bag: This bag is usually about 15 inches by 14 inches. The fabric for this bag is donated, resulting in slightly varied dimensions and unique patterns for each bag. This bag can be used for your shopping in order to reduce plastic bag waste.
Reusable Paper Towel: This Bambooee reusable paper towel is made of bamboo fiber and can be washed and reused up to 100 times! Read more about Bambooee's product and purpose here.
Symbol of Change: A hand engraved rock from the Columbia River is included in each jar as a personal reminder of the importance of making sustainable choices each day.
Keychain Booklet on Honey Bees: This booklet is full of important information about the current unfortunate state of the honey bee population, and ways you can help.
Bookmark of Tips for Living Sustainably: This bookmark provides unique tips for transitioning to a more sustainable lifestyle.
Stainless Steel Reusable Straw: Each straw is about 7 inches long with a wider hole than normal straws to make for easier beverage consumption.
Laundry Soap: Sample of homemade, chemical free laundry soap that allows you to try easy-to-make soap with instructions (link) on how to make it yourself in order to eliminate the use of store bought laundry soap. A homemade option reduces plastic waste and is a healthier cleaning agent for your body and the earth.
Vow Leaf: This is the same type of leaf we brought on our environmental justice trip. Just like visitors to the display, on your leaf you can write a vow of one change you will make in your life to be a better steward of the environment.
Pamphlet: Information about each product in the jar and the importance of using these products every day to help you become more sustainable is included in the pamphlet.
